I’ve been building and shaping tech products for over 10 years, taking ideas from conception to production. I enjoy the challenge of starting from scratch and guiding apps as they grow to reach a broad audience. Along the way, I’ve managed and led cross-functional tech and product teams, and contributed to company operations alongside executive and leadership teams.

Experiences

1. VP of Engineering at Vanta

   2022–Now

   Building a COPPA-compliant esports platform for schools and partners in the United States from scratch. Vanta’s platform is a one-stop shop for youth esports, including scheduling and roster management, chat, video conferencing, and identity verification.

2. Senior Software Engineer at Codeminer42

   2016–2022

   At Codeminer42, I worked with startups and big companies across the United States including Riot Games and Pipefy primarily building and maintaining Ruby on Rails and JavaScript applications. I also co-organized and spoke at local tech events to support the developer community and promote modern technologies and best practices.

3. Software Engineer at Skillsoft Sistemas

   2015-2016

   Kicked off the migration of a legacy ERP system to the web using Python and Django. I dove deep into the entire process, from feature design and coding to maintenance and customer communication. This work attracted new clients to the company and expanded its product portfolio. I also worked closely with the CEO and contributed to strategic business decisions.

4. Frontend Developer at Fixe Ideias

   2014-2015

   My first tech job. I had a great mentor who guided me on where and how to learn web development. I built a bunch of websites while enjoying the evolution and maturation of the web.

Health

When I was 2 years old I got a heart valve replacement. Luckily, I’m doing super great now and I don’t want to throw away this second chance.

I do as much as I can to stay healthy by running 3x a week. My next goal is to run 10km in under 50 minutes. I post my activities on my Strava account.

Startups

This is me when I was 16y pitching my first idea for reporting city problems to the local government.

At Vanta I’m helping to develop the next generation of gamers.

I look at early stage startups that want to solve real hard problems and enjoy the journey of trial and error.
